About

Launched in March 2000, Vestal Review is the longest-running magazine dedicated to publishing and paying the best writers of imaginative flash fiction. After 20 years, we remain an exciting venue for exceptional flash fiction by both emerging and well-known authors. Our stories have been reprinted in numerous anthologies such as Best of the Net, Sudden Flash Youth and You Have Time for This, and our stories have been selected for Wigleaf Top 50 multiple times. Vestal Review is an eclectic magazine, open to all genres. We encourage diversity in writing and publishing. A wide range of voices is good for readers and literature in general, enhancing our understanding of the world. It’s fair, beneficial, and long overdue. We encourage underrepresented writers to send us their stories.
