  • Simultaneous submissions are welcome, but please withdraw the piece immediately if accepted elsewhere.


The NightWriter Review publishes online and in print. As such, The NightWriter Review takes first electronic rights and first North American serial rights. All rights revert to the author upon publication. However, we do retain work indefinitely in our online archives, so please let us know immediately if there is any reason this is not acceptable to you. If this work is published again in the future, please acknowledge The NightWriter Review as the original publisher.

The 805 Free Tip Jar Option

The 805 publishes previously unpublished fiction, nonfiction, and poetry online only, in a blog format, at The NightWriter Review Website.

Please send us your prose and poetry! Submissions are ongoing, but may close periodically to allow us to catch up.
