We at Poemify Publishers are always on the lookout for new aesthetic works, so send them to us. By publishing young African writers for readers worldwide, we are encouraging the talent that the African continent provides. We are searching for underrepresented voices telling underrepresented tales that should be shared more frequently. We want to be a home for tales that test the boundaries. Read on to learn about our submission guidelines.

  • We accept fiction, nonfiction, poetry, image, [audios and videos] – submit the categories in the bracket at request.
  • We do not accept already published pieces, please. And, if your work does not pass our plagiarism test, it’s an automatic rejection.
  • Simultaneous submissions are fine. All we ask is that you notify us when your work is accepted elsewhere.
  • Be conscious that you are writing for an online audience, so for writing artists, keep things short, sharp, exciting, and in accordance with the required word count.

Poetry Submission Guidelines
  • You can submit up to three poems – no more than 40 lines.
  • Ensure you tick the right category [poetry] in the submission form.
  • Poem must be in English. Translations are welcome for non-English poems.
  • You retain the copyright of your work.

There is no assurance that your submissions will be accepted, we would only accept submissions that adhere to grammatical techniques and rules.

Wait till your previous submission is accepted or rejected before sending us another.

Lastly, we would reply to inform the receipt of submissions within an hour and get back to you within two weeks after submission.

We know that waiting can be frustrating, and we won’t make you stay long waiting. Write to us via mail to query if we fail to get back to you within the stated period.
