Tofu Ink Arts Press

Tofu Ink Arts Press, a non-profit celebratory venture, is the brainchild of poet Brian L. Jacobs. Tofu Ink aims at publishing poems and other arts of un humdrum’d inclusive rhizomatic errant possibilities. We support work of established and emerging poets and artists. We strive for bi annual issues with this being our inaugural, to be digitally published this Spring 2021 with a Summer 2021 edition to follow. We are looking for polished art and poetics that are absorbed in possibilities. We are committed to amplifying voices of the under-represented and marginalized. Art makes you think about thinking...ABSORB POSSIBILITIES!

Tofu Ink Arts Press Guidelines: All submissions must be made via our Submittable page. We are seeking 1-4 polished poems of any style of less than 10 pages,12 font Times New Roman, single spaced. Your name must appear on the poems. Include a title page with list of poems’ titles and page numbers if possible or include it in your Submittable. Please provide a brief bio in third person. Please allow about one to four months for a response. Please don’t send previously published material. All must be contained in one document. Each new poem should start on a new page. Due to our large amount of submissions, we cannot respond or provide feedback to everyone. We do our best to be prompt.

We do not accept reprints of any kind. Please avoid sending us works in progress, as we will not consider revisions or additional edits once a piece has been submitted to us. Simultaneous submissions are welcome, but if an individual poem is accepted elsewhere please use the “Note” function on Submittable to tell us which pieces are and are not available. If all of the poems becomes unavailable, please use the “Withdraw” function to remove the submission from consideration.

We acquire first North American serial rights upon acceptance. This includes the right to publish your material on our website as well as a possible future print edition, with permission, to be released within one year of the date of your acceptance letter. The author retains all rights of their work of course.
