Q: Describe what you publish in 25 characters or less.
A: Poetry you can taste.
Q: What other current publications (or publishers) do you admire most?
A: Stone Telling, Mythic Delirium, Strange Horizons, Clarkesworld, Apex Magazine, Lightspeed, Tor.com
Q: If you publish writing, who are your favorite writers? If you publish art, who are your favorite artists?
A: CSE Cooney, Catherynne Valente, Sofia Samatar, Cat Rambo, Rachel Swirsky, Terri Windling, Delia Sherman, Ellen Kushner, Nicola Griffith, Patty Templeton, Nicole Kornher-Stace, Genevieve Valentine, Benjamin Rosenbaum, Jeff VanderMeer
Q: What sets your publication apart from others that publish similar material?
A: An articulation of dark whimsy that focuses on the senses, seasons, and our own experiences of those things.
Q: What is the best advice you can give people who are considering submitting work to your publication?
A: Read the publication! It's available on line for free; don't submit to us unless you like what we do.
Q: What do submitters most often get wrong about your submissions process?
A: Putting too many poems in one submission (our limit is 3 per email, 5 per submission period); sending us short fiction when we only publish poetry; sending us wildly inappropriate stuff that indicates they've not even read our guidelines, let alone read an issue.
Q: How much do you want to know about the person submitting to you?
A: Lists of previous publication credits are completely unnecessary, but we appreciate a hello.
