About

Slippery Elm is a journal of fiction, poetry, creative nonfiction, and visual art committed to promoting the best that’s being written by today’s writers, providing educational experiences for students in editing and publishing, and representing The University of Findlay as a supporter of the arts. Our name is taken from ulmus rubra, the unassuming but versatile hardwood that flourishes in Northwestern Ohio. Founded in 2013, Slippery Elm is published by The University of Findlay and distributed nationwide and internationally.
