About

Inch is a quarterly journal focused on the miracles of compression. Each “issue” is a micro-chapbook featuring the work of a single author. We feature small collections of poetry, short fiction, or short creative nonfiction, with each chapbook focusing on a separate genre. We dedicate one issue per year to featuring the work of a North Carolina author. Inch has published work by acclaimed authors, such as Betty Adcock, Emma Bolden, Halina Duraj, Vievee Francis, Roxane Gay, Jenny George, Forrest Hamer, Aimee Nezhukumatathil, Michael Parker, Khadijah Queen, and Daniel Wallace, but we are equally committed to publishing the work of emerging authors.

Before Submitting

We cannot guarantee that the information on this page is correct. It is not unusual for publications to evolve or close without notice. We do our best to keep up, but it isn't always possible. Just remember…

  • Always read the full guidelines provided by the publisher.
  • Try to read at least one previous publication to get a better idea of what the editor would like to see.
  • Unless the publisher's guidelines state otherwise, always use industry standard manuscript formatting.
  • Be professional, patient, and persistent.
