An Important Announcement
We are excited to announce a brand new offering: Duosuma — Duotrope's Submission Manager.
It helps publishing projects and literary agents receive and manage their submissions quickly, easily, and affordably.

Anima 11

Do not submit here! This project is permanently closed to submissions (October 2018). We provide the following information as an archive.

Anima is a magazine for contemporary poems which dare to question the dominant materialist paradigm of western culture. We aim to offer the reader thoughtful and intelligent writing from perspectives beyond beyond the everyday world of sense and reason. Poems of metaphysics, mythology and symbolism, of depth psychology or transcendence — all these and more are welcome in our pages.

Before Submitting

We cannot guarantee that the information on this page is correct. It is not unusual for publications to evolve or close without notice. We do our best to keep up, but it isn't always possible. Just remember…

  • Always read the full guidelines provided by the publisher.
  • Try to read at least one previous publication to get a better idea of what the editor would like to see.
  • Unless the publisher's guidelines state otherwise, always use industry standard manuscript formatting.
  • Be professional, patient, and persistent.
