Green Bottle Press 12

About

Green Bottle Press is a small independent press, dedicated to the idea that poetry books should not only engage the reader with fresh language, form and subject matter, but also be objects of beauty. The Press works with poets to produce books that suit both the form and the length of their poetry – we won’t be bound by standard page size or book length if the work demands something different. No two books will look the same, but the imprint of Green Bottle Press quality will distinguish them. The Press is particularly interested in publishing first collections and pamphlets of work written in English, though new work by established poets will also be considered.

Before Submitting

We cannot guarantee that the information on this page is correct. It is not unusual for publications to evolve or close without notice. We do our best to keep up, but it isn't always possible. Duotrope listings do not imply endorsement or recommendation of the project being listed. Before submitting, you should use your own judgment to determine whether the project meets your standards.

  • Always read the full guidelines provided by the publisher.
  • Try to read at least one previous publication to get a better idea of what the editor would like to see.
  • Unless the publisher's guidelines state otherwise, always use industry standard manuscript formatting.
  • For book publishers, it is standard to submit a cover letter, synopsis, and sample instead of the full manuscript. Do this unless otherwise instructed.
  • Include a SASE with all mailed submissions, queries, and requests for guidelines, unless the editor replies via email or guidelines state otherwise.
  • Be professional, patient, and persistent.
