About

Formerly known as Decomposition Magazine, decomP is an online, bimonthly, literary magazine that was founded in April 2004 by Mike Smith. That fall, Jason Jordan joined the magazine as a book reviewer, and he eventually began reading submissions. In December 2007, Smith stepped down from his position and handed the reins to Jordan, who has been the Editor-in-Chief since. decomP publishes art, prose, poetry, and book reviews, ranging from traditional realism to experimental irrealism, memoir to journalistic nonfiction, formal poetry to free verse, and anything and everything in between as long as it’s good writing. Work in decomP has been recognized by various award series such as The &NOW Awards: The Best Innovative Writing, Best of the Net, The Best Small Fictions, Micro Award, Million Writers Award, and The Wigleaf Top 50 (Very) Short Fictions.
