About

We want entertaining, literate stories that straddle the edge of the dark, with three dimensional characters. We want dark fantasy, not horror...that is, there needs to be a supernatural element to your stories. We publish more straight science fiction stories these days, although we tend to prefer SF stories that have a dark slant. We publish established and brand new writers alike. If a story really sends us, we'll publish it without concerning ourselves with guidelines.

  • Try to read at least one previous publication to get a better idea of what the editor would like to see.
  • Unless the publisher's guidelines state otherwise, always use industry standard manuscript formatting.
  • Include a SASE with all mailed submissions, queries, and requests for guidelines, unless the editor replies via or email or guidelines state otherwise.
