About

A poem a day by a different poet exploring and responding to life under our nation's current set of social, cultural, and political circumstances. We do not want political poems per se. We consider What Rough Beast to be a form of resistance to our nation's current slide into autocracy and white nationalism, but we want that resistance to take the form of beautiful poetry about personal experience.
