Stephanie Rostan 13

An agent with Levine Greenberg Rostan Literary Agency (see other agents at this agency)

About

Before becoming a Principal in 2014, Stephanie was an agent at LGR for 13 years. Prior to that, she was an editor at Bantam Dell and the Book Producer for iVillage.com. About two thirds of her clients are fiction, including New York Times bestsellers Gillian Flynn and Lisa Lutz, as well as Jennie Shortridge, Wendy Wax, Michelle Gagnon, Heather Swain, Carol Snow and Julia Dahl. Unusual and vivid voices, genre-straddling stories and intense emotion (whether funny, creepy, warm or sad) – the things that make a book stick with you for a long time – are what she finds most appealing. She represents both adult and YA. In nonfiction, she loves projects that solve a problem or make us see things in a new way, working with the La Leche League (The Womanly Art of Breastfeeding), Amir Levine and Rachel Heller (Attached: The New Science of Adult Attachment), Chris Santella (50 Places series) and Jennifer Louden (The Life Organizer), among others in the parenting, health & wellness and sports categories. She has also worked on memoirs such as New York Times bestseller Miracle in the Andes by Nando Parrado with Vince Rause.
