About

Dream of Shadows [is] your new London-based website for monthly horror and fantasy short stories. We want to offer readers honest and daring stories, stories without happy endings, where the two not-so-sexy leads don't fall in love simply because they have to. And we want to offer all the hard-working scribes a fair project. That is why we have decided to pay our writers, even if it is only a token payment. Because if it's good enough for us to publish, it's good enough for us to pay you for it.

Before Submitting

We cannot guarantee that the information on this page is correct. It is not unusual for publications to evolve or close without notice. We do our best to keep up, but it isn't always possible. Just remember…

  • Always read the full guidelines provided by the publisher.
  • Try to read at least one previous publication to get a better idea of what the editor would like to see.
  • Unless the publisher's guidelines state otherwise, always use industry standard manuscript formatting.
  • Be professional, patient, and persistent.
