About

We are The Metaworker, a literary blog (or lit magazine on the internet) where great stories are forged. We’ve been going strong since August 2015 and our mission is still the same: to publish great things to read. We don’t care if you’re an established writer who dabbles in poetry, a student who’s never been published before, or even if you’re eighty – if you’ve got something you think needs to be shared with the world, submit it to us! We accept fiction, poetry, nonfiction, and art. But we’re adding a misc category for submissions that fit into none of those categories. Basically, if it can be put onto a WordPress blog, submit it to us. One of our goals is to be open-minded. We want new ideas, and work that won’t find a place anywhere else. We want you to surprise us, show us something we haven’t seen before. Send us your craziest work, the stuff you don’t think will get published, but that you wish to god could.

Before Submitting

We cannot guarantee that the information on this page is correct. It is not unusual for publications to evolve or close without notice. We do our best to keep up, but it isn't always possible. Duotrope listings do not imply endorsement or recommendation of the project being listed. Before submitting, you should use your own judgment to determine whether the project meets your standards.

  • Always read the full guidelines provided by the publisher.
  • Try to read at least one previous publication to get a better idea of what the editor would like to see.
  • Unless the publisher's guidelines state otherwise, always use industry standard manuscript formatting.
  • Be professional, patient, and persistent.
