About

Founded in 2015 by Health Sciences alumnus, Anna Goshua, The Muse is a medical humanities initiative based in McMaster University. After reading the novel, “What Doctors Feel” by Danielle Ofri, which documents the effects of emotions on practicing medicine, the idea for The Muse begun to take shape. The purpose of The Muse is to raise awareness in the medical humanities, by providing an interdisciplinary platform for sharing stories of sickness and healing, and to further promote empathy in healthcare.
