About

Wintermute is an improviser, a chameleon, a white-light cube. Shape-shifting, forever-scheming, and calculating. It steals personality and talks through others. We want your original writing, but we know there's no such thing as an original idea. That's why we want carefully crafted stories—those worlds and characters and plots fueled by your authentic feelings. Wintermute wants to merge with your work—(but only temporarily)! For young and emerging writers, there are countless fantastic publications and journals for literary fiction and poetry, but the space catered specifically towards speculative fiction looked sorely empty—which is why Wintermute was founded. We want your best weird work! Please and thank you.

Important: Wait at least six months to submit again after a rejection.
