About

We’ve all done it--wished for something to solve our current problems--daydreamed about “the one that got away” or the road not taken—thought of what our three wishes would be if we found that genie in the bottle. Open to any speculative genre—the only requirement is that somebody makes a wish and that is a key ingredient in the story. You decide if it is granted or not, what consequences it carries, and so forth. Try to avoid clichés (like my example above of the genie) unless you have a fresh take on it. “The Monkey’s Paw” By W. W. Jacobs, Stephen King’s “Pet Semetary,” or the movie “A. I.” are some examples of the kind of thing I have in mind.
