The Midwest Review was established in 2013 to provide a venue for thoughtful and thought-provoking writing and visual art that examines, interprets, and redefines the wide spectrum of life, past and present, in the Midwestern heartland. Our mission is to showcase the Midwest’s best and freshest short fiction, poetry, creative nonfiction, and art, as well as to celebrate the full spectrum of voices that emerge from, and are influenced by, this diverse place.
