Guide to Banning Submitters Quick Links: Basics | Managing the Ban List | Banning through Submissions Details page | Banning people who haven't submitted yet What is the Ban List? The Ban List provides a way to prevent certain people from submitting to you in the future. We don't provide any criteria on how to determine who to ban, and use of the Ban List is completely optional, but if you ever encounter a situation where you need to prevent someone from submitting to you in the future, that's an option. By default, Duosuma accounts don't have the Ban List feature enabled, but it can be turned on (or off again) in Account settings. Who can ban and manage the Ban List? To be able to ban submitters and manage the Ban List, you must be at "Manager" level or higher and have "Can Reveal Identity" privileges. Managing the Ban List Enable Ban List Before you can add anyone to the Ban List, first you need to make sure your Account Settings have Enabled Ban List. (You must have "Manage Account" permission to do this.) See Who's Been Banned You can see the full list of everyone who's been banned on the Manage Ban List page. If you need to Update any Ban record or Remove anyone from the Ban List, select Update in the row for that ban and then Update or Remove as needed. Banning through the Submissions Details Page The simplest way to add a submitter to the Ban List is through the Submission Details page. Find a submission by the person to be banned and navigate to its details page.If the submission is not anonymous, the Add to Ban List link will be shown in the Submitter's Info section. If the submission is anonymous, you will have to click Reveal Identity to show the submitter's name and then the Add to Ban List link will be shown in the Submitter's Info section. There's a very short form to add the submitter to the Ban List. We highly recommend that you include a Reason for Ban for your own records. (This information will never be shared with the submitter.) Banning People who Haven't Submitted Yet (through Duosuma) If there's someone who you need to ban but they haven't submitted to you through the Duosuma platform yet, you can add them by their email address through the Manage Ban List page.Simply click Add a Ban and enter their Email Address and a Reason for Ban and click Add. We will ensure that no one using that email address is able to submit to you in the future. (The reason for the ban will never be shared with the submitter.) Go to the Duosuma Home Page.
