Open Call for Poetry Manuscripts
Feather Press is reading full-length poetry collections for a Spring 2027 release.

Send: one complete manuscript, 48 to 80 pages of poems, as a single PDF or Word file. Include a title page with your name and contact information, and a table of contents. One poem per page, 12-point serif, one-inch margins, page numbers.

We are looking for a book, not a gathering of poems: a manuscript with an overall thematic arc or narrative. We tend to stay away from rhymed poems, puns, and limericks. We are inspired by community, the visceral, the etheric, art, science, rawness, reality, and the unseen. These are leanings and not requirements. Send us the book you have made.

Individual poems may have appeared in journals or anthologies, as long as the manuscript as a whole is unpublished. Include an acknowledgements page. Simultaneous submissions are welcome; please withdraw here if accepted elsewhere. One manuscript per poet.

Reading fee: $33.33, paid by card as part of this submission. Non-refundable.

Deadline: November 30, 2026, 11:59 PM Pacific.

Selected poets receive publication by Feather Press, $222, and 10 copies of the book. By submitting, you agree to take part in a release event if selected.

Authenticity: Manuscripts must be your own original writing. We will not consider work written, generated, or edited with AI tools.
