Spring Issue: Roots and Wings

Our Spring Issue is open for fiction, creative nonfiction, poetry, and visual art from writers and artists ages 8-108.

Do you have a story about what anchors you and what makes you reach upward? Perhaps a story that explores the familiar-whether it be a pattern, a place, a person, or a version of yourself. Maybe a series of poems about a comforting family tradition you carry on. Or a piece of visual art that captures helping your grandmother tend her garden, or an essay about the time you watched a migration of birds float and dive as if they were one.

If you are inspired by the things that anchor us and the things that help us fly, we want to hear about it! Send us your best writing or visual art that centers on the theme Roots and Wings.
