Meat for Tea: The Valley Review Meat for Tea: The Valley Review was founded by Elizabeth MacDuffie and Alexandra Wagman in 2006. We are a non-academic affiliated magazine committed to recognizing and featuring the work of the artists, writers, and musicians living in western Massachusetts and beyond. We have received many awards and accolades over the years, including Best In Category award for Best Literary Journal in the 2019 62nd Annual New England Book Show from Bookbuilders of Boston! We are dedicated to keeping print media alive, and publish quarterly in both print and digital (PDF) formats. As of late, our issues typically exceed 140 pages! To become familiar with our aesthetic, we encourage people to head over to our website and purchase an print issue or a PDF - the latter are only $5 each.To become more familiar with the multi-media aspects of Meat For Tea, such as recordings from the Cirques (the quarterly release events for each issue that feature live spoken word and music , short films, art on exhibit, and more) and to hear conversations with artists, writers and musicians we have worked with, check out the Meat For Teacast, on pretty much all of your favorite podcast platforms. We remunerate US contributors with a physical copy of the magazine, and overseas contributors (due to ridiculous shipping costs) with a high-resolution PDF of the issue.
