We work to be as flexible as possible with interns in terms of start/end dates. We recommend that you commit to a time period of 3-5 months, to allow time to learn and work on a project or two, and this does not necessarily need to coincide with a semester. Internships are almost always completed remotely, and don't require specific day/hour availability. Include in your cover letter if you are local to St. Louis and we can discuss in-person meetings if desired.

Interns will generally either focus on editorial or marketing tasks:

Editorial:

• Primarily reading and evaluating submissions
• Depending on the intern's learning goals, they may also be interested in taking on a proofreading or layout project, under the guidance of the publisher

Marketing:

• Primarily composing social media posts, including creating graphics
• Depending on the intern's learning goals, they may also be interested in taking on graphic design projects, such as creating flyers or cover mockups
