Mission Statement

Pink Disco is a quarterly magazine that celebrates the erotic in fiction, nonfiction, poetry, and visual art. Whether or not you find the erotic in a kinky encounter between two (or more) strangers or in the everyday banter of lifelong partners, we are interested in what you have to say. We welcome the taboo, the weird, the kinky and the unexpected and strongly encourage nontraditional and underrepresented voices to contribute.

Submissions

Poetry Fiction and Nonfiction: We are open to accepting short story, nonfiction, flash fiction, and poetry. For fiction and nonfiction, we ask that you limit your word count to 1,500 words or fewer.

We accept simultaneous submissions, but ask that if your piece(s) is accepted elsewhere, you let us know as soon as possible.

Further, we will only accept original works that have not yet been published. Upon publication, Pink Disco Magazine reserves the rights to publish all materials, but will return the rights to the original author following the publication period.

Please limit longer pieces of fiction and nonfiction submissions to one piece per submission cycle.

For poetry and flash fiction, you may submit up to six pieces per submission cycle.

Please include a brief bio to be included upon publication should your piece(s) be accepted.


Visual Art: We will accept up to six pieces per submission period. If including images of people, we request that you also submit a model release form for each featured model, as well as verification that the model(s) is of legal consenting age.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Sex-positive and/or body-positive works
  • Erotica is welcome, but must be rooted in interesting uses of language, image, and/or character

What We Welcome:

  • Kink
  • Works that feature any and all consensual relationship styles
  • Works that feature any and all sexual identities
  • The weird, the transgressive, and / or works that defy conventionality

What We Will Not Condone:

  • Submissions that feature non-consensual sex and / or nudity, especially that of children and / or non-human animals
  • We will not accept work created by artificial intelligence.

Does My Submission Have to Feature Sex or Nudity?

  • The short answer is no. The nuanced answer is that sex can be defined any way you see fit. As long as your submission is compelling and original, it will be considered for publication.
