As well as stories and poems we publish book reviews, interviews and general musings. Please view our recent articles to see what might fit our readers and us.

Articles we're looking for include reviews and insights into: indie films, bands, art exhibitions and any live event which features the arts. We like book and album reviews as long as they're positive towards the author, band or musician and that the subject matter isn't considered mainstream or pop.

Please include any event photos you'd like us to use with your body text and a short bio with social media links.

BRISTOl NOIR is seeking submissions for reviews and introductions on noir literature, crime fiction, indie art, alternative, and new wave punk music. This can be on your own work (introcutions and outlines) or via a thrid party (reviews and deconstructions).

Share your insights on books, songs, poetry, albums, and artworks whilst contributing to our vibrant community and showcase your expertise in these genres

We provide succint feedback on all submissions.

Please keep your voice original and full of personality whils fitting our remit of dirty realism, dark poetic prose with a curiously uplifting slant. Don't heavily use AI and make all material your own as much as possible.

We welcome submissions of artwork, photography and illustrations in line with our literary remit. Pieces that are curiously balanced between uplifting, challenging and dark aspects are all favourably considered.

Key genres:

  5. Landscapes in flux
  6. Painted or photographed portraits with complex layers of emotion and interpretation
