Crab Apple Literary is an independent online literary magazine that sheds a light on the strange, deformed, and forgotten.

We strive to make space for the offbeat, the left field, the weird, and the wonderful. If someone’s taken a bite out of you and spit it out this is the place for you and your writing.

This is a safe space for all so be loud, crass, sexually indecent, anything that makes you who you are (as long as you are not derogatory or abusive. No bigots, homophobes, transphobes, or racists allowed!).

We accept up to ten (10) art pieces in any medium (photography, digital, paint, collage, mixed-media, whatever!!!).

All subject matter is fair game as long as the material is not sexist, racist, homophobic, transphobic or otherwise bigoted (obviously).

We only accept previously unpublished work.

Simultaneous submissions are welcome! Just make sure to withdraw your piece if it was accepted elsewhere.

We currently publish our issue digitally on A4 size pages with 1 inch margins. Our font is 12 point Playfair Display (medium). If you have made specific formatting choices (line breaks, spacing, etc.), please make sure they come across how you envision them with these specifications.
