The call for submissions for The Gigas Testament is officially open! We're looking for terrifying, chilling, and deeply unsettling short horror stories that explore the darkest corners of the imagination.

Before submitting your text, please read our guidelines carefully:

Submission Guidelines:

• Genre: Horror stories only. We’re looking for slasher stories, creature tales, cosmic horror, and everything in between. If your story gives us goosebumps and stokes our fear of the dark, we want to read it. We don’t expect to see romance or happy endings. Give us your worst nightmares.

• Eligibility: This volume is devoted exclusively to unpublished works by Canadian citizens or residents.

• Word count: 2,000–10,000 words.

• Format: Although we are not strict about formatting, we expect a neat title page, a legible font, and standard margins. We currently accept only PDF files for submissions.

Compensation and Deadlines:

• Payment: 50 CAD + a print copy for the author for First Worldwide English-Language Anthology & Electronic Rights

• Deadline: October 31, 2026.
