Up North Literary Journal: General Submissions Poetry & Prose Free

CALL INFO:

Prose: Fiction and nonfiction submissions up to 4,000 words. We welcome more than one story or essay if the total submission is 4,000 words or under.

Poetry: Poetry submissions of up to 5 poems (no longer than 15 pages). Please make sure every new poem appears on a new page.

GUIDELINES:

Please include a short cover letter in the email body introducing yourself and your work.
If you are submitting multiple pieces, please put them together in one file.
Simultaneous submissions are welcome, provided we are notified in the event that a piece is accepted elsewhere.

Categories: Fiction/Nonfiction/Poetry
File types: .doc, .docx, .pdf
Number of Pieces:
1 piece per fiction submission.
1 piece per nonfiction submission.
Up to 5 pieces per poetry submission.
Single File: Required. All pieces must be submitted in a single file.

Anonymous submissions are not required.
Simultaneous submissions are allowed.
Reprints are not allowed.
Multiple entries are allowed.
AI-assisted works are not allowed.
