Hollow and Sky is a space shaped by listening.

It exists for those who move through the world with attention to the inner life, to the living earth, and to the places where the two touch.

We publish poetry, prose, and visual work that emerges from experience rather than certainty. Work that is patient, grounded, and willing to remain with what is felt but not easily named.

We are drawn to writing and art that honors stillness, wonder, grief, memory, and restraint, without instruction or doctrine.

Hollow and Sky will continue to take shape slowly as a place for reading, for offering, and for quiet recognition.

Hollow and Sky welcomes visual work that aligns with the journal’s commitment to stillness, attention, and interior landscapes. We are particularly interested in photography and visual art that engages with the natural world, memory, quiet observation, impermanence, and the spaces between presence and absence.

We favor work that is contemplative rather than declarative, and that allows meaning to emerge through restraint rather than instruction or spectacle.

Please submit up to 5 images, accompanied by a brief description providing context for the work. The description is intended for editorial understanding and does not need to appear alongside the images if published.
