Infocalypse is an international alternative Arts and Literary Magazine exploring the strange, the speculative, and the profoundly human through themed issues, inviting creators to approach themes from unexpected angles. Whether literary, speculative, surreal, or experimental, we value work that lingers long after the final line.

Contributor Limits: To ensure a wide range of voices in each issue, contributors may have up to three pieces accepted per issue. The exception is art and photography, which are not subject to a strict numerical limit beyond available space.

Names and Aliases: Writing under an alias or pen name is completely welcome. However, please submit all work for a given issue under a single name.

Terms and Conditions

The author warrants the work is their own and doesn't infringe anyone else's copyright. The author grants Infocalypse first serial/publication rights. Copyright remains with the author. After publication, rights revert to the author, subject to Infocalypse retaining the right to keep the work in its published archives. The author understands that once an issue is published, it is considered part of the permanent record and will not be withdrawn. The author confirms they have the authority to grant these rights. Any reprints should acknowledge first publication in Infocalypse.

Writers must be at least 18 years old.

Quota: This project has established a quota. Submissions will close when it is reached.

Our approach to reviews is not bound to the present moment.

We welcome reviews of books, poetry collections, films, concerts, exhibitions, and live performances, whether they were released yesterday or ten years ago.

Revisit a forgotten album. Watch a film everyone has stopped talking about. Rave about an exquisite book that no one noticed. We want criticism that excavates, reconsiders, reinterprets, and reanimates past work, not just criticism that chases the newest release cycle.

Reviews of new work are absolutely welcome.

We just also believe the past is still making noise.

We’re looking for work that fits the strange, sharp, curious, boundary-pushing spirit of Infocalypse.

Send us your fiction, poetry, essays, criticism, visual art, photography, comics, hybrid work, experimental forms, film, performance, and things that don’t fit neatly into any category.

This is an open, general call rather than a call tied to a specific theme. Work submitted here may be selected for our weekly online feature or held for consideration for a current or future issue of Infocalypse.

We’re especially interested in work that takes risks, complicates easy answers, crosses genres or disciplines, and gives us something we haven’t quite seen before.

We are looking for short-form moving-image work: experimental film, dance, vocal performance, monologue, performance art, video poetry, animation, and forms that do not yet have a name.

Think micro-cinema. Think performance made for the screen. Think artsy TikTok without the algorithm breathing down its neck.

Heading into fall, we are especially interested in work that explores identity and the unknown: the selves we construct, inherit, perform, conceal, or cannot explain; the things beyond language, certainty, reason, and sight.

Films must be three minutes or under.
