The Oxford Review

The Oxford Review is a wide-ranging, eclectic, and irreverent literary magazine featuring brilliant and original short fiction, memoir, satire, poetry, criticism, artwork, and (of course) potentially unhinged polemics from across the political and social spectrum on everything from the news of the day to the mundane.

We are seeking fiction, poetry, memoir, and visual art.

We are interested in work that is elegant, strange, intelligent, funny, unsettling, beautiful, argumentative, stylish, emotionally precise, or otherwise difficult to forget. We welcome both emerging and established writers.

We do not charge authors for publication. There are no publication fees, processing fees, or contributor charges.

Rights

Authors retain copyright to their work.

By accepting publication, contributors grant The Oxford Review first serial rights and non-exclusive archival rights. After publication, contributors may republish their work elsewhere, provided that The Oxford Review is acknowledged as the place of first publication.

Payment and fees

There is no fee to submit for Issue 1.

We do not charge authors for publication.

At this stage, The Oxford Review is unable to guarantee contributor payment, though we hope to introduce honoraria as the journal grows.
