Please submit poetry, short fiction, artwork, and photography here for potential publication in the fourteenth edition. All submissions will be considered for our literature page, monthly editions and art portfolio. Simultaneous submissions are allowed; please inform us if your piece is published elsewhere.

Submission Formatting:

Poetry should be up to 3 pages double spaced.
Flash fiction/short stories should be up to 5 pages double spaced.
Artwork/Photography can pertain to anything. Ensure a 300+ DPI.

2084 Annual Poetry Contest: The Future Temp Closed

Welcome to the 2084 Literary Organization's first annual poetry competition! Each year, the 2084 team holds an annual contest that is connected with George Orwell's 1984. This year, the prompt is....... write about something futuristic, a hope you have for the future, or an imagination of a utopia (+ how humanity could accomplish it).

Winners of the contest will have their bio and poem displayed on the home page of 2084's site. The Top 6 winners receive Pushcart Prize nominations and may be invited for future judging.

Top winners will have the opportunity to be published in our Repository of the Future, a collection of writers' hopes and stories about the future. We are not a vanity publisher. In all of these prizes and publication opportunities, the cost is 0 and we will never have paywalls for publication.

Simultaneous submissions are not allowed.
Contest requirements:
Poems must be 30 lines or less (not including line breaks). Poems must have never been published in any format. Please submit only once per contest.
