A Combination of a “Best of” Annual and a Contest

Each year we will publish a book with the best art and poetry from that year’s volume of Sublimation. Since we would like the annual edition to be extra special, we will have a contest with a modest prize of 500 SEK (just under €50) and a hardback copy of the book. All shortlisted works will also be published in the annual.

Guidelines:

Write an incredible piece of speculative poetry. Then upload it to Duosuma as a Pages, Word, RFT, or TXT file. Only use PDF if your poem has special formatting. Make sure that there is no poet identification in your file (including filename). Suitable filenames are “Contest.Title” in which “Title” is the title of your poem. You can send only one poem per entry. Extra poems will be ignored. If you wish to send several poems, you must create a new entry submission for each one. There is a modest fee of €2 to cover the prize and the cost of creating the hardback special edition that the winner will receive.

There is no theme for this contest, but poems that are not speculative (sci-fi/fantasy/horror) probably will not get shortlisted, so make sure that your poem really is speculative in nature.
