Stories That Need To Be Told The Contest

A project of TulipTree Publishing (see other related projects).

This contest is participating in Duotrope's Sponsorship program!

About

78 members set this contest as a Favorite.

There is truth in any story, and the very story you choose to tell may be the most important one of all. But, before I get too philosophical, here's the point: submissions should tell a story. It doesn't matter if you consider it fiction or nonfiction. Even poetry is great if it tells a story.

Fees Notice: This project charges fees (or requires purchases) for all submissions. The fee is USD $20.

Before Submitting

We cannot guarantee that the information on this page is correct. It is not unusual for publications to evolve or close without notice. We do our best to keep up, but it isn't always possible. Duotrope listings do not imply endorsement or recommendation of the project being listed. Before submitting, you should use your own judgment to determine whether the project meets your standards.

  • Always read the full guidelines provided by the publisher.
  • Try to read at least one previous publication to get a better idea of what the editor would like to see.
  • Unless the publisher's guidelines state otherwise, always use industry standard manuscript formatting.
  • Be professional, patient, and persistent.
