About

semicolon explores the facets and intricacies of mental health/illnesses through the various ways it manifests in our lives. We aim to showcase fiction, nonfiction, and poetry by established and emerging writers. It is our hope that our magazine becomes a safe place for those who struggle and overcome. semicolon is looking for narrative structure, variations in experience, the dark days, and the hopeful ones. We appreciate lyrical prose and attention to details on the line level. We are not looking to glorify/romanticize illnesses—please keep this in mind while submitting.
