About

We’re a queer and BIPOC-led independent literary zine with roots in New York City. We're a place that is oriented toward underrepresented voices; MFA-holders or otherwise; self-taught artists; international perspectives; and everyone else. We're seeking poems, fiction, essays, art––anything raw and emotionally charged. We accept work that is traditional, experimental, hybrid. Give us your best work. Or your best garbage. Give us something risky, something you'd never send anywhere else. Give us the breakup poem you wrote when you were 16 and thought was fire, the story you wrote for a workshop, the angry letter you wrote to your landlord. Above all, it is our mission to be a platform where artists can come together and share stories that matter to them. We can't wait to see what you submit and we're grateful.

Before Submitting

We cannot guarantee that the information on this page is correct. It is not unusual for publications to evolve or close without notice. We do our best to keep up, but it isn't always possible. Duotrope listings do not imply endorsement or recommendation of the project being listed. Before submitting, you should use your own judgment to determine whether the project meets your standards.

  • Always read the full guidelines provided by the publisher.
  • Try to read at least one previous publication to get a better idea of what the editor would like to see.
  • Unless the publisher's guidelines state otherwise, always use industry standard manuscript formatting.
  • Be professional, patient, and persistent.
