About

16 members set this publisher as a Favorite.

BLP was founded in 2015 as a way of bridging the chasm that each writer traverses on the journey to becoming a published author. Often, no matter how good an author’s story is, many never see a publisher’s press. As a small, independent press, we were able to offer publishing opportunities to writers who pushed the boundaries and explored unconventional themes, but also found it difficult to be heard by mainstream publishers. Our original focus was on liminality, but we have grown and added a new print focusing on more mainstream themes. Although we’ve continued to grow, our focus remains on bringing the best to our readers.

Before Submitting

We cannot guarantee that the information on this page is correct. It is not unusual for publications to evolve or close without notice. We do our best to keep up, but it isn't always possible. Duotrope listings do not imply endorsement or recommendation of the project being listed. Before submitting, you should use your own judgment to determine whether the project meets your standards.

  • Always read the full guidelines provided by the publisher.
  • Try to read at least one previous publication to get a better idea of what the editor would like to see.
  • Unless the publisher's guidelines state otherwise, always use industry standard manuscript formatting.
  • For book publishers, it is standard to submit a cover letter, synopsis, and sample instead of the full manuscript. Do this unless otherwise instructed.
  • Be professional, patient, and persistent.
