I have a website. Some clients hire publicists for book promotion launches. Publishers are doing the best they can. Some publishers are better than others. I do what I can in the best possible way for each book. Publishers are very concerned about the writer's presence on social media and their platform.Malaga Baldi, Reader at Baldi Agency on 10 May 2026I follow and promote all of my clients on social media. Sometimes that looks like reposting their own posts about podcasts, interviews, and events. Sometimes it's cover reveals and deal announcements. I try to support them all equally with things they have going on, even if they're not directly book related. I also do work on the back end to make sure that people are getting ARCs and copies as they need and trying to help with event ideas.Becky LeJeune, Principal Agent at Confluence Literary Agency on 23 September 2026I get heavily involved in the promotional aspect of books by arranging reviews, interviews, and book launch events, and try to get involved in the social media promotion aspect of things (though that last one is not my forte).Zeynep Sen, Senior Literary Agent at WordLink Incorporated on 18 August 2026I'm boycotting most social media at the moment, but I am on Bluesky. One of my clients who is artistically inclined does a beautiful poster of the book covers for each upcoming season. I also promote a book as soon as it's delivered to me. I try to remember to write reviews and make sure my clients tell me if it slips my mind. And I do the kind of promotion that's sort of informal. I talk about the projects I'm excited about to anyone who will listen LOL.Joyce Sweeney, Director of Kidlit at The Seymour Agency on 26 January 2026 Cookie Consent: This site uses secure first-party cookies for essential, preference-setting, and statistical purposes.
