The Woodward Review 35

About

Woodward Review is a new journal edited by graduate students at Wayne State University, trying to collapse the distance between creative, critical, and "academic" writing by highlighting the conversations between them as codependent modes of responding to and moving through the world. Woodward Review seeks poetry, prose, art, hybrid and digital media, and the conversations these different forms can inspire. The Review is built on the mutual exchange between creative work and its reception. Whether your response is personal, critical, or creative, collisions with art are never passive.

Important: "Reviews & Responses" category open for submissions year-round.

Before Submitting

We cannot guarantee that the information on this page is correct. It is not unusual for publications to evolve or close without notice. We do our best to keep up, but it isn't always possible. Duotrope listings do not imply endorsement or recommendation of the project being listed. Before submitting, you should use your own judgment to determine whether the project meets your standards.

  • Always read the full guidelines provided by the publisher.
  • Try to read at least one previous publication to get a better idea of what the editor would like to see.
  • Unless the publisher's guidelines state otherwise, always use industry standard manuscript formatting.
  • Be professional, patient, and persistent.
