Through Lines Magazine 6

About

The idea for Through Lines Magazine was born from the overwhelming feeling of existing in the world today. From the polarizing broadcasts on news stations to the highly opinionated state of the internet, what makes us all human amidst tragedy, war, or even daily life is lost in the noise. There are no faces, no names, and no point of connection between the consumer and the people impacted. The people impacted may even have a harder time truly seeing one another. Although this reality exists, there's another that stands in the face of it: the basics of the way we all experience life are the same. Though many of us may stand on either side of a divide, the "Through Lines" that come from our individual experiences cross borders and overlap, weaving into one giant and very human picture. Through Lines Magazine is a digital magazine that drives against the current of faceless news, information, and hostile interactions. Each issue will feature a different theme, such as an emotion, an object, a color, or a person, and create a space where people from communities at odds can engage in storytelling through writing, art, photography, and even recipes.
