Megacity Review is a literary journal at the intersection of narrative journalism, cultural criticism, and visual storytelling. We publish essays, longform nonfiction, fiction, and mixed media that explore the lived realities of urban life—from displacement and labor to race, memory, and the physical spaces that shape how we move, live, and belong.

Rooted in the tradition of Baldwin, Didion, and Martí, we believe storytelling is truth-telling. Our contributors—writers, artists, critics, and everyday observers—amplify underrepresented voices and examine the nuance often lost in mainstream narratives. Through our work, we reimagine the cities we inherit and inhabit.
