Speculative PoetryAbout this PublisherEven as a young child Speculative Poetry would conjure up stories with their imagination, sharing them with anyone who would listen, shaping culture, expressing hopes, dreams and fears. They've developed their storytelling and writing quite a bit since then, but the thrill of language and creation they first discovered as a child has never gone away. Suzette Haden Elgin, founder of the Science Fiction Poetry Association (1978), defined speculative poetry as writing “about a reality that is in some way different from the existing reality.” This includes science fiction, fantasy, fairytales, mythology, folktales, horror, supernatural, superhero, utopian, dystopian, apocalyptic, alternate history, futurism, cyberpunk, cyberfunk, sword and sorcery, sword and soul, urban fantasy, paranormal, space opera, slipstream, solar punk, steamfunk, steampunk, and weird.Country: United StatesPublishing ProjectsThis publisher does not accept direct, unsolicited submissions, except for these active projects:Sorry, no active projects were found. These inactive listings for projects were found: Arboreal Dreams Speculative Tree Poems Anthology CLOSEDSpeculative Cats Anthology CLOSED Cookie Consent: This site uses secure first-party cookies for essential, preference-setting, and statistical purposes.
