Durty Beanz

About this Organization

Durty Beanz (DB) are an Action Research Group based in Glasgow (UK). Established in 2019, the group produce a diverse range of outputs operating between contemporary art practice and digital anthropology. DB aim to consider the material and symbolic practices of food, as well as the institutions and understandings related to its production, consumption, distribution and representation. Their goal is to playfully interrogate the biopsychosocial status of the things we eat, specifically in relation to food inequalities, climate crisis and digital identities.
