Annie is a multilingual writer from Newcastle Upon-Tyne. Following her literature MA at the university of Manchester, Annie has pursued writing mostly as a journalist and essayist and has also worked in editorial and translator capacities in the UK, Spain, and Colombia. She is heavily inspired by the astute observations and compelling narratives of modern writers like Mavis Gallant and Annie Ernaux, as well as the astounding prolix of many 19th century authors - mostly in translation. Most of all, Annie tries to create art that can also be political and in-keeping with her view on the important intersection between gender and class.
