Aya Albsoul is a PhD candidate and member of the Refugee Thrive Project, researching how we can create resilient communities in Dublin through the act of storytelling. She completed an M.Phil. in Comparative Literature from Trinity College Dublin and a BA in English Language and Literature from the University of Jordan. In 2020 she established a creative writing program at the University of Jordan to support second-language learners through creative practice. Her research interests include postcolonial theory, forced migration, Palestinian folklore and work at the intersection of literature, language, memory, and identity.
