Ellen Austin-Li received a 2026 Ohio Arts Council Individual Excellence Award and a 2024 writing residency from Sundress Academy for the Arts. Her 2025 collection, Incidental Pollen, was the runner-up to Madville Publishing's Arthur Smith Poetry Prize, after being named a finalist for the Trio Award and a semifinalist for the Wisconsin Poetry Series. A finalist for the Stephen Dunn Poetry Prize and a multiple Pushcart Prize and Best of the Net nominee, her work appears in Salamander, Vox Populi, SWWIM, ONE ART, Lily Poetry Review, and The Maine Review, among others. Finishing Line Press published her chapbooks, Firefly and Lockdown: Scenes from Early in the Pandemic. Her forthcoming chapbook with Milk & Cake Press (March, 2027) is The Fourth Column: A Heroic Crown. Ellen hosts Poetry at Artifact in Cincinnati, where she lives.
