Kevin Doyle was born in Baltimore and his writing has been influenced by the city he's proud to call home. He is married and the father of two grown children. In his professional life, he is a cardiologist. An unrepentant Anglophile, he was fortunate enough to have done some of his medical training at the National Heart Hospital in London, leading to a lifelong love of that city. He will never pass on an opportunity to spend time in London. In addition to traveling, he loves gardening and woodworking.

He has taken three writing courses as part of the Johns Hopkins University Odyssey program and has attended numerous writing conferences—most recently the 2026 Malice Domestic conference in Washington, D.C.

Kevin has drawn on a long tradition of oral story telling in his Irish-American family. his grandfather and his great-uncle were bootleggers in Baltimore during Prohibition. To his knowledge, neither of them ever attempted to steal weapons from a National Guard Armory.
