Kim Carpenter is a writer and nonprofit consultant currently living in Sonoma County, California. Kim writes about her experience navigating womanhood and identity in contemporary America while working to undo sexism, ageism, racism and systems of marginalization. Kim has published in READ Magazine, Independent School Magazine, the anthology Nothing But the Truth So Help Me God, and co-written three screenplays. She has also built a career writing grants and other content for arts and social justice nonprofits, work that has deepened her commitment to stories of transformation and equity. Her writing blends personal experience with broader social themes, shaped by years of engaging with unconventional narratives and activism.

Kim is currently working on a memoir that follows her evolving beliefs about sex, love, monogamy and polyamory as a wife and mother.
