Kristie Smeltzer is a writer, developmental writing coach, and teacher. She's currently working on several novels and a screenplay in addition to short fiction.

Her fiction has been published by ScribesMICROFiction, MonkeyBicycle, Atticus Review, pioneertown, 101 Words, The Doctor T.J. Eckleburg Review, Apeiron Review, and others. She also writes a monthly newspaper column, "Tried It in C'ville," and other articles for Charlottesville newspaper C-ville Weekly.

Kristie earned her MFA in creative writing at the University of Central Florida. She resides in Charlottesville, Virginia, and teaches for WriterHouse, and other organizations. She's a proud cat mom of the incomparable Maisy Mae, a beloved furry companion and occasional editor.
